Youth Ambassador
As a Youth Ambassaor, Youth Delegate youth mentor and member of over 20 NPO's, I have had the opportunity to help people (access to healthcare, clean water and sustainable food) on an international level (Africa, US, Europe). Inspired by my own experiences with music as a pianist since early childhood and later research experience, I employ music-based therapy and creativity platforms in youth oriented charity programmes. Alongside incredible teams, I've had the opportunity to spearhead myriad initiatives to inspire and encourage individuals facing difficult circumstances. Whether using music as a form of pain-management therapy to help young burn victims at Shriners Hospital, modernizing and remodeling hospital playrooms throughout the country (also installing music playing systems, etc.) or working with geriatric patients using era-based music in cognition and memory therapy, it is a cause close to my heart. I created the Star charity event series which launched at The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) for ill children. Youths were given a platform to sing, share and create and became the stars of their very own documentary short. The Ronald McDonald House currently uses the film project I created to gain further investment for their NPO. This is a programme that has been expanded on a global level most recently reached underpriviledged youths in East Palo Alto. I partner with these organisations to lend my support in making a positive difference.
